No. In the interest of absolute transparency and accountability, we do not accept cash donations. We encourage our supporters to use our secure online payment portal, UPI, or direct bank transfers, which ensure a verifiable audit trail.

Yes, all donations made to the Make It Happen Foundation are eligible for a 50% tax deduction under Section 133 (formerly Section 80G) of the Income Tax Act, subject to the conditions and statutory limits prescribed by the Income Tax Department.
Our rigorous selection process is based on the core values of trust, transparency, and accountability. We evaluate all the applications we receive, compile a shortlist evaluating the operational strength of the applicants and their years of experience, conduct a field visit to assess shortlisted applicants, and extensively debate our findings internally. Those who meet all our criteria are recommended to our board for formal approval, ensuring your support always goes where it matters most.
We ensure that resources are optimally utilized by our project partners through regular budgeting and reporting systems. Our program teams visit each project and the community regularly to assess progress. Furthermore, every project is subject to a rigorous evaluation before funding is renewed.
In case of loss of the original receipt, a duplicate tax receipt is issued on receipt of a formal request from the donor.
We strongly believe that every individual we serve is entitled to the fundamental right to privacy and dignity, and we take their need for anonymity very seriously. To uphold these strict ethical standards and protect the personal safety of the underserved individuals, children, women, and communities we support, we do not share their names or personal identifiers. However, while identities are withheld to ensure their protection, we warmly welcome you to visit our project sites to experience firsthand the sustainable impact your donations create.
Make It Happen Foundation takes the utmost care to process your donations exactly as instructed. Because contributions are immediately deployed to support those in need, donations are generally non-refundable.
However, if a technical error occurs during your online transaction (such as a duplicate debit or an incorrect amount entered), we will happily process a refund. To request this, please email us at hello@makeithappenfoundation.in within 7 days of the transaction with your proof of deduction and PAN. Please note,
Refund Processing: All refunds are issued exclusively in the name of the original donor and take 10 to 12 business days to process once validated.
Donation Receipts: If a donation receipt has already been issued, the original receipt must be returned to us before the refund can be initiated.
Please note that if your tax exemption certificate is already issued, we’d be unable to process your refund request unless the error was explicitly made on Make It Happen Foundation’s part. In such cases, we will correct the filing and absorb any associated operational costs.
You can update your donation amount or cancel your recurring payment at any time. You can instantly pause or cancel your mandate directly through your bank’s net banking dashboard, your UPI app, or via the secure link in your 24 hour pre-debit alert. Alternatively, you can email us at hello@makeithappenfoundation.in and our support team will handle these changes or discontinue the mandate for you.
